Another round up from W14

I love a killer endline and it doesn’t get much better than “what your mom would feed you if your mom were a man” for uber-dirty US snackfood Combos.

This microsite/short film to promote the cinema proportion Philips TV is the first work from Philips I have seen which is memorable and has stand out. It’s really well done, so I like it, even if the clowns freak me out a bit.

Just like a novelty record at Christmas, this one’s a grower. At first you think ‘what’s this guff?’ there’s no point to it, it’s ridiculous, it goes against all you stand for in the world. Then as if by some kind of black magic, you find yourself slowly giving in to it, chuckling along with it, waiting eagerly for the strange milk glass phone thingy and then out of nowhere, saying to yourself, ‘god, I wish I’d done that’.

I for one don't wear a helmet when cycling around our busy London, stupid I know. Wouldn't it be nice if I was stopped by a policeman given a nice hug, a nice helmet and told to carry on with my day. This video is a lovely campaign by the Danish police for safer cycling.

I love job interviews. Not because I’m a sadist but because I am a student of the art of seduction. Ok, and a sadist. The whole contrived and confined mini drama. Playing the game, knowing what to say. It’s an opportunity to see if they like you and if you like them but more importantly to see if they liked you. It’s so false it’s refreshing. This ad is clearly a homage (got word of the day in) to the best scene in the amazing film Fight club and it’s done brilliantly. A very funny ad with that underlying schmaltzy (got tomorrow’s word of the day in) element of doing anything for your mate – fuelled by Pepsi Max. Turning the tables in the job interview – not caring if they like you or you like them. The final dismount into the wall is the icing on the cake.

As a man of violence I have a high blood pressure.

Sometimes after much pushing in a man’s face, I have to sit down for twenty minutes to get a feel much better.

This television advert by some Japanese persons makes me laugh, oh yes. But making laughter around my predicament is not funny.

I like it very much.

I am angry.

I laugh.

I want to break a head open.

It’s funny.

I’m furious.

I’m confused.
