U OK UK? Issue 7
Over three months ago, when we started this series of reports, Covid-19 was still an unfamiliar word on everybody’s lips.
Soon, people stayed inside their homes. Tens of thousands died. The government paid 80% of workers’ salaries. Shops and restaurants closed up, many never to reopen.
In this final issue, we pull everything together by asking people around the UK to reflect on this time and how they think the future might be different. We also unpack the impact of the crisis on their finances and spending. Comparing our data from across the pandemic, we offer a full picture of how attitudes and behaviours have changed over time.
